ok but how do you make a flower out of flour!!! omg!!!
i do this one a lot because i have two 9in round cake pans that make it super easy and effective. medium-small skillet or similar would probably also work?

I am doing this but I don’t have a stretch of time, so I did the first rise and made the little things tonight, and they’re going to proof in the fridge overnight and I hope they don’t freeze I had to use the downstairs fridge which is sometimes, uh, not, uh, reliable (we use it for beer mostly), but if all goes well, they’ll proof into… something reasonable… and I will bake them tomorrow to go with soup for dinner, and we’ll see!!! I am very psyched.
The funniest thing is that I literally just made fun of my sister for owning a bench scraper, and then I could use one. (I was like, what the hell is that thing, and she got huffy and was like, I was a pastry chef you know, and I was like, i mean, I know, but– normally she doesn’t bake bread because they trade chickens for leftover bread at the farmer’s market, but that baker hasn’t been there this winter, or hasn’t had leftovers I’m not sure, so she’s had to go back to baking bread. So I had to use a rubber spatula and a chef’s knife because I am stricken by karma over mocking my anti-single-purpose-kitchen-gadget sister’s single-purpose kitchen gadget.)
