I’ve nailed down a bunch of worldbuilding for the Solarpunk Mammoths novel and I’m like, you know, I think I have to write some scenes to get any more of a feel for this, maybe I can come up with more ideas once I’ve had feet on the metaphorical ground there, you know? So I get open a doc and I kind of mentally crack my knuckles (I have never actually cracked my knuckles in real life ew), and I’m like, ok, I can start with–

Shit I need to give everyone names first.
Shit.
Like, I’m good at names, I generally don’t have a problem coming up with names, but i don’t really have, like, a naming scheme here, I haven’t started anywhere, I had a tentative name for Our Brave Heroine in the first quarter-paragraph of a draft that I made in November, but I hate it. So I need, like. To start somewhere. And. Ugh.
I’m super good at names but that doesn’t mean they’re easy.
Uhhh… *refreshes tumblr* *cleans kitchen* *takes up new hobby* *flees country* Not that I’m procrastinating, or anything, but uh. Yeah I’m. Gonna get right on that.
