Oh cat puke update:
So. Two things. Number one, I started writing down all the times at which the cat got sick. They were almost all uniformly twelve hours apart and about two to three hours before the twice daily she gets fed. (I retroactively wrote down the ones I could ascertain the time of, because it’s mostly been in the mornings just before I get up, and in the evenings just after the first of us gets home.)
Dude called the vet and they said to give her hairball medication and “a bland diet”. Dude had the presence of mind to ask what a bland diet for a cat actually entailed. “Uh,” the receptionist said, and asked the vet. “Boiled chicken.”
He was in the midst of a can of chicken paté. Our cat has never been fed actual chicken and I’m not sure how she’d react to it.
We opted to just give her hairball medication. That was also when I started logging the vomit incidents.
The next morning she threw up on schedule.
She hasn’t thrown up since. That was three days ago. So. Either one single dose of hairball medicine cured her, OR the fact that I started logging her symptoms.
Just in case, I’m going to study witchcraft, because you just never know.
