Sooooo, ahhhh
NGL that looks real shitty, so. I’m going to make a point of Leaving Work before 2. I do not want to deal with that shit.(For the record that continues, the temperature is beginning at 57 this morning and will be 10 by tonight.) There’ll be a nice thick layer of ice and then it’s gonna snow about a foot onto it.
So I told my coworker yesterday that there’s no fucking way I’m going to sit at work and watch it get Real Shitty out when we’re basically doing 20 minutes of Real Work and 7.5 hours of Misc Organizational Shit And Phone Babysitting at this time of year, and he laughed and said yeah no there’s no reason to sit through that.
I don’t get paid while I’m not at work, of course, but I’d rather not risk a car accident for the… well, minimum wage got raised so I still make very slightly over but. (As I foresaw, my “big raise” after ten years would get obliterated pretty quickly, and has been. The only people getting raises in our company are those legally mandated to, not the ones who’ve been there a decade or two [or three… a dude at the other store started in 1982…])
So anyway. I just wanted to share that little weather dot com screenshot. This is, I am sure, the selfsame weather system that just fucked the entire Midwest. Solidarity, friends.
I need to empty the compost bucket before I leave for work because it is Full and we’re going to be frozen in for another eighty years after this.
