I am so excited to know this. I looked this guy up and was super confused; apparently he was in TFA but he was just Ello Asty and then they realized they’d killed Asty at Starkiller so they needed a new backstory for the surviving guy in the end scene.
Which is great, don’t get me wrong, but. I’m guessing he’s supposed to be the sole survivor of Poe’s squadron, but I really really wish they’d had a character who was also in, you know, the comics. Sigh.
Anyway. So it’s not The Shape Of Water in space.
