Hungry For Sky//Read on Ao3
Rating: G
A Shara Bey character study.
Shara’s first love was the sky. She had no idea how to get there.
She flew until the air was thin and she was dizzy with it. She looked down and could see the curve of the world stretching out beneath her. Feeling wild and freer than she had ever been, Shara pointed the nose of the airspeeder at the ground and dove; for long second after second Shara existed untethered from gravity.
A story of loving families, hard choices, and figuring out who you want to become.
For @dolly-bassett, because when I realized it was about flying, risk, and making tough choices, I also realized it was for you.
Huge thanks to @nbpaigetico for the watchful eye, the fic is better for your input!
(look, look, I made art for this one) (One of these days I will figure out how I want to format the fic links) (playing with this for today) (More work, but it’s so pretty!)
Clear and lovely characterisation and so so so accurate and full of love for family and what’s in one’s heart — thank you and it blew me away: I shall re read it whenever I am questioning what I am doing, deep in the depths of Principles of Flight or Meteorology
