i saw that meme going around, or maybe it was a twitter post, or something, some screenshot, where some kind wise person was like look if you’re a creative feeling shitty about not getting much done in 2017, listen, it’s been A Year, don’t beat yourself up
and I sort of gently scoffed and was like, shyeah, I didn’t slow down this year, as if
and just now I went and looked at my ao3 stats and
oh
yeah i produced about a third this year of what i did in 2016 and had about a quarter as many subscriptions and i can’t do the math but like uh, a whole lot less comments, kudos, hits, bookmarks.
yyyyyeah I did basically jack shit this year.

never mind
(holy shit this is my worst ever year on AO3. I did more in 2013 than I did this year. holy goddamn shit. I did sweet fuck-all this year.)
