Whether that test came back positive or negative, it’s an important act of self care to test for it. Your health is important, and knowing what your body needs is a good thing. If you have, I’m proud of you. If you want to, I believe in you.
There is absolutely nothing shameful in getting tested, and lots of people you know have done it. It’s confidential and doesn’t take long.
