also Finn’s little look-away when he admits “I need a pilot”– he’s afraid to let on that he needs things, he’s afraid to ask for things, he’s almost flinching when he admits it. He’s so conditioned that it’s not acceptable to admit to needing things. A show of vulnerability like that– but that’s precisely what Poe needs to see in order to understand what’s going on, and it cements his resolve. And Finn can’t believe that’s what it took.
