Apropos of nothing in particular– I’m printing out a portfolio of photos of my sister’s wedding flowers business, which is an offshoot of her flowers-for-farmer’s-market business, and I just thought, it’s such a gray day in such a gray week, here are a bunch of photos of flowers for y’all.
Photos by me unless credited otherwise in captions. Just– here are some pretty pictures to look at, of flowers I helped grow.
The third photo– those are wooden window boxes that the groom made himself, brought to the farm six months ahead of the wedding, and my sister planted with little herbs she’d started from seed, and tended for months. They bloomed, if they were going to, right around the time of the wedding– sage, thyme, and oregano all have purple flowers, and I know at least the sage and thyme were blooming. They were beautiful, and then they gave them out as wedding favors. What a phenomenal idea!!
