i had a dream sort of? and i forget half of it and maybe i wasn’t really asleep
but it was like a novel plot sort of only not the whole thing
there was a dashing secret agent type (maybe he was more of a corporate espionage type, i’m not sure) and he needed to get fitted for a new suit, and so he was in a dressing room at a high-end type place, and there was a model in there who was also getting fitted for some event she had to go to, and he realized she spoke a language he spoke so he struck up a conversation, and she was so delighted to talk to him but somehow assumed he was in a situation similar to hers, so they had a conversation and he figured out she was kind of trapped where she was, with poor English and no immigration status and subject to the whims of her sketchy boss, but there wasn’t anything he could really do so he tried to forget about it but then at the party where the [plot– assassination? sabotage? something movie-y] was gonna go down there she was in her exquisite outfit being somebody’s arm candy, and she recognized him and figured out just in time not to blow his cover
but I woke up and started thinking about something else, and it was going to become dream-nonsense anytime now.
I don’t know that it would hold up to being an original work but that’s gotta be a good AU premise for someone’s fanfiction, right??
