Here it is: Best stuff first
Extremely handy if you follow a lot of people and hate missing anything good.
Best Stuff First moves the best stuff on your dashboard—mhm!—right up to the top.
It’s rolling out this week on iOS and Android, and comes with this Help Center article.
Thanks! ✌️
Head’s up folks! Tumblr decided to shit the bed and go non-chronological!
This bullshit is being rolled out this week and it’s going to be default!
Ah yay, another feature to deactivate immediately!
Has anyone actually ever wanted this bullshit feature in any of the social media apps????? Like I’d rather give all the people I follow the same power posting wise than let the popular ones go first. Ugh
No. No one has ever wanted this ‘feature,’ with the exception of advertisers! Because if your posts aren’t chronological, then it’s easier to slip more stuff they ‘think’ we’ll ‘like,’ ie something someone else PAID to go first in our feeds.
@staff Making things like this a default instead of allowing an opt-in is why everyone hates and mistrusts you.
PSA: Don’t install the Tumblr app. Just use your Chrome browser. Works fine. Doesn’t really truly support chat or asks, but, like. You can keep up with your dash.
Fuck the Tumblr app.
[i haven’t seen any info on whether this is coming to the real site itself, but if it is, ffffffuck! you realize this is optimal for shadowbanning and down-low censorship, and that’s why it’s so widely-used in social media. someone giving you trouble? just make it so their followers see their content last. no one will ever know.]
