Rough– and I mean, rough– sketch of a song from the lyrics in @bomberqueen17 ‘s fic Home Out in the Wind Chap3 ; even a sketch like this easily represents 45 minutes of my time (including media processing on my laptop) and…I’m supposed to be doing other stuff right now, but I really, really wanted to sketch it out and sort of have it down figuratively on paper so I can move on. This is definitely an interpretation more than probably what bomberqueen was envisioning, but I had the thought of that one dramatic confrontation scene having the background of a deadly sounding tango. Also, that fic is amazing, in-progress but highly recommended ;)
Edit. Apparently the lyrics are from a John Cash song. Whoops! OH WELL I WROTE THE MUSIC ANYWAY it already exists no take backs.

Don’t you think they’d love to start over, and fly like eagles out among the stars?
i love this and it is much better for not having referred to the original song!
It’s just so funny because basically all the other songs I linked to with chapters and in the music post series I did were much more carefully-selected, where I either really liked the originals or I had very specific ideas of how they’d have to be changed in-universe, and this one I was like, eh, it’s a song that mentions stars. And this is the one that was inspirational. I love that.
