!!!! I had not realized how much my lumpy uneven roll-sideways-off-it not-really-a-bed-at-all was affecting me until I got a real mattress and it’s now mostly level and I can– sit on it– without– worrying that things will go rocketing off? or i’ll fall on the floor? I also uncovered where the ants had been nesting under my bed so oh my god wow ick that’s outside now phew. Now I know where to put the camphor so they don’t come back. Maybe they’ll leave me alone.
I feel. Like. I don’t know! A new person maybe.
Also, Dolores is back, and I think I mentioned that, but I also almost walked facefirst into her eating a moth when I came into the yurt tonight, so. We’re going to have another Disagreement, but I’m sort of sentimentally attached to her so I’m determined to make this work somehow, this roommates gig. I guess me not being all broken up over her leaving convinced her that I wasn’t too clingy after all.
I still need to level this yurt platform. But. Baby steps toward living like a human.
Now. Storing this mattress is going to be a royal pain in the goddamn ass. I don’t know what I’ll do. But I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. Meanwhile I’m going to sleep on it til October at least.
Also my dude is visiting in two days so now we can hump like grown people instead of trying to deal with two humans on an air mattress.
