I went over to Middle-Little’s house to take glamor headshots for her LinkedIn profile since she’s jobhunting but in the end all I really wanted to do was take glamor shots of her cats and I’m sort of sad they wouldn’t cooperate. That’s Wednesday; Remi was sulking just inside the door. (She’s only a year or so older than my Chita but she behaves like an elderly cat, tubby and grumpy and tetchy, and trundles about the house growling at everything. I guess Chita’s not young either, but Chita looks and acts much the same as she did as an adolescent, so.)
Anyway. Gratuitous photos, in which you can see why I’m not a portrait photographer: I have no idea how to get people to make reasonable human faces. Cats, though– I can do cats.
I want to Photoshop up a properly goofy headshot for Middle-Little with her cats’ faces translucent in the background behind her, I think that would be hysterical. She’s on board, but I know she wouldn’t really use it. Not for submitting resumes.
I know intellectually that Middle-Little’s new haircut is lovely and professional and suits her, but to me it looks exactly like it did when she got a Really Tragic Prince Valiant bob circa age 12 and entered the depths of a truly heinous Awkward Phase that lasted a really long time. It’s all I can see. I’m afraid I wasn’t able to properly compliment her hairstyle. Thank God at least she doesn’t have the 1988 bangs our mother regularly trimmed too short for her.
Here’s the thing: Middle-Little is the sister who’s always game for doing really weird photoshoots. I did a really epic one of her in eveningwear with a machete out behind the old garage a few years back; I really want to do another one, but I don’t know what costume to do. It’s best if I can think of one with a built in plot to do… That was where the glamour shots behind the garage fell a little short, there was a scenario but no plot. So anyway, I’m mulling that over.
Please don’t reblog, though, it’s just my sister’s face and she doesn’t need that to be widely distributed. I just wanted to put them up because some of them were so funny. (There were like, a hundred photos, and these are the funniest. There were some more conventional-looking ones.)
