Ha ha ha ha I won’t say anything about politics in particular because I have nothing insightful to offer except maybe a bunch of void screaming like everyone else, but like, so, a while back I was talking about the stupid Terrorist Watchlist and how my dad wound up on it because his name is super-common, and so because someone with his same name had Done Something (remember, there are no public criteria for how you get on this list, so who the fuck even knows), Dad couldn’t get on a plane without the most ridiculous over-searching of his person and baggage. Even though my dad is a nearly-40-year veteran of the Army, and had Top Secret clearance (still does, apparently he never got read out or whatever you do, they could take him back at any time I guess!) he still is on this Watchlist because he has the same name as some dude.
Well guess who else has the same name as him. (sans initial, but. that didn’t matter for the terrorist watchlist either.)

It just adds a surreal cast to all of this.
[Also anyone casting curses or spells or anything please be careful to use the initial. Just in case. There are seven thousand other currently-living adult men in the US with that first and last name combo.]
