In conversations with my sisters tonight, it came up that one of them has experience in the precise thing the other two of us have been worrying about how to do (specifically, taking over a part of the business my sister just bought from the lady who used to do it, who has become flaky and is not going to teach her, as they’d formerly thought she would). “Oh,” said sister #3, “I know how to do that because my useless post-college boyfriend had a temp seasonal job doing that and was fucking awful at it, so I did it for him.”
I mused that we could write a memoir about Useful Shit Useless Men Taught Us Despite Themselves, and sister #4 said, “I actually have a memoir like that planned about my stupid ex-boss,” so I’ve decided it, that’s a thing, that’s going to be a monthly feature on the blog I’m totally making for the farm.
