whew ok

so the thing in Cartagena was that the wifi didn’t work well enough in our hotel room to like, use it. so I mostly was on my phone on data, and if I wanted to use my laptop I had to go sit in one of the various common areas of the hotel, which were fine and comfy and cozy but not air conditioned, and I had to have like. Pants on and such. So.

so i’m far behind on everything, and I did have a little time to do some writing but really not very much.

i’m so tired and disoriented. glad the flight timing worked out such that i’m home on a friday morning, too late an arrival last night to have ever considered working today, and then i have a weekend off omg.

i have many more things to say about cartagena but it will have to wait. i am so frazzled and tired.

i also picked up a pokemon go habit while traveling– an online buddy gave me the login for their secondary account so i could use it to get some postcard badge or other so they could have that, something south america geolocked or something, and i was only meant to spin a couple of pokey stops but then it was so shiny and it was such a good thing to do while walking around a really compact and walkable city, with the like bonus punch that it seems just generally, culturally, table service is very slow in Colombia, that’s just the pace of how it works there, and I found that I tended to fret and get annoyed unless I had something to do. So the pokety mans were a really great thing to do and also a hilarious subject of discussion in moments that might have otherwise been fraught by various stresses. so i got myself a Magikarp and made it my buddy and named it “useless baby” and took snapshots of it flopping around uselessly in many inappropriate places, which was absolutely hilarious.

I finally got my own account as well, and am desperately in search of my own Magikarp. (To trade him from my friend’s account would cost some exorbitant amout of stardust for some reason, so I instead have a weird little woodpecker guy who flies around as my buddy.) So if you are into the pockety mans, plz do DM me so we can be buddies. Though I have discovered, of course, in my arrival home, that my very boring flat suburban neighborhood is an absolute wasteland and has like one pokey stop I can see but not reach from my house, and the nearest gym is a half a mile away. I will be so annoyed if this gets me to start taking walks, which is the entire purpose of the app. (I will not be taking any walks today it is nine whole degrees Fahrenheit.)

ok ok ok ok i gotta unpack but maybe today i can paste all the writing i did in notepad back into my working google docs and see how close i am to literally any updates. (Your picture was not posted)
