ok but occasionally you’re dealing with a canon that’s…….. not the most rigorously thought-out, and you’re presented with a character that’s only minimally sketched, and much of the content is just relying on the reader to assume what’s there. And you pry at this a little, and see where nobody really put much thought into him.

And you think, well, without actually transgressing anything that’s not elsewhere contradicted, I can pretty much make this guy whatever I want him to be.

And then you rub your little gay hands all over him and make him into precisely what you need to tell the story you wanted to tell, which may in fact be directly contrary to any messages the author originally may have intended but fuck ‘em it’s your story now. 😄 (Your picture was not posted)
