You did it! You broke 2020 down to its bare essentials!

A lovely low-key birthday– took the day off work, wrote shameless
fanfiction for no audience (no you can’t read it lol), drank a cider in the
middle of the day, did a lot of laundry because well I needed to do
laundry, got sushi from Fuji Grill on Maple (I’d tag them but uh which Fuji
Grill account is them??) including a free extra spicy tuna roll! And
cupcakes from
dessertdelibakery716 .
Included is a photo documenting my amusement at a discovery in a pair of
trousers I washed before mending for [Bad username or site: laughing @ earth] .

So I’m still not sure I have a good handle on Keira and Lambert’s relationship, but I did write this little bit today, which I found illustrative and entertaining.
(Listen sometimes I find things by just writing them, all right.)
“You smell fucking miserable,” Lambert said.
“Well,” Keira said, “you know what Triss is like. I’ve had a trying fucking day and while your friend’s feelings are reasonable given his experiences they’re rather a lot for me to cope with at the moment. Please let go of my arm.”
“Make me,” he said.
She glared at him, then went limp like a small child or cat who didn’t want to be picked up, putting all her weight on him. It didn’t work; he was expecting the move, and hung on easily. “You gotta do better than that,” he said.
She dangled there for a moment and then punched him in the balls with as much force as she could muster, which worked nicely. She couldn’t really hurt him like that, his trousers were fairly well-reinforced in that area, but it always worked to startle him.
(this isn’t domestic violence, I promise, if she’d wanted to hurt him she’d’ve used the brass knuckles or, you know, any of the arsenal of mage powers she has at her disposal.)
