ok I cut out the last machine embroidered thing I managed to finish (which I also hand-embroidered over the parts that looked shitty), and cut out all the pieces, lining, interlining, interfacing etc., to make the zippered bag I want to make.
I used spray adhesive to baste them all together. Now I just need to kind of… quilt them together. Then I can assemble the bag on the sewing machine and serger, and finish it on the serger.
But all the pieces are cut and assembled. I didn’t take any pictures. I will at some point, if only to keep me honest.
Spray adhesive is great, so far. (I’ve mostly been using it to apply stabilizer to fabric to embroider on.) Using it for quilting, they call it spray basting. I like this. I’m shit at pinning things and always stab myself. This is more feasible, so far.
Anyway. I actually did a thing, though I stopped too soon. I should keep pushing through, but I just feel like I’ll screw something up if I do.
No quilting has actually been done but I still feel like I can tag this quilting. (I decided making small zipper-closed pouches would be the most manageable small quilting thing for me to do.)
