restarting the work computer, so i'm goofing off.

left the thing running for 3 days with dw open, so it's getting a bit wonky.
just suddenly, dreamweaver was showing text overlapping that wasn't.

i like to restart windows 2000 every day. it doesn't usually crash, it just gets slow and confused. i don't know why.
the one at home doesn't. windows 2000, doesn't crash, doesn't get slow. shug.
well, the processor at home is faster. maybe that helps.

i did succeed in drinking 3 whole tahou's mugs full of water yesterday. i will try to do the same today but i'll taper off after about 3 pm because i'm gonna be in a car for 3 hours. that's short enough not to have to stop. so...
we're going up to my parents' house tonight. bringing laundry, of course. eek. laundry for the ages.
i need someday to live somewhere with a washer and a dryer. that's just it. i can't get by without them. i don't mind the laundromat but i don't go to it. it's ridiculous.

so... that's that.

looking forward to this weekend. it'll be awesome.
and, i remembered to send my cousin terry a letter asking if i can bring dave to her wedding. yay!

ok, i've been hacking and snorting up all kinds of gross things today. i won't go into detail or mention the fabulous colors it's been, but i will say that i woke up at 5 am because i couldn't breathe, and i had to go blow my nose so i could get air into me somehow.
this morning in the shower i managed to dislodge a solid object from my nose... yes, organically formed. i was so pleased. i love snot.
anyhow.
i'm hoping that them all being in motion now, all these fluids and substances and the like, means that the infection is losing to my immune system. that's my hope.
Sigh...
it hasn't been bad, it's just my ears popping, my throat being basically unusable, my nose ditto, my chest congested... minor, all, but overwhelmingly annoying. and the tonsil swelling? worst in the morning, nonexistent during the day. i think they're actually helping, the little buggers.

so, perhaps my immune system is worth something after all. This all started while I was on antibiotics for something else, so I think whatever it is is probably an opportunistic, antibiotic-resistant strain that i'm better off clobbering on my own without pharmaceutical intervention. That's my thought. Who knows. Worth a shot; my $150 eczema goo has emptied my pharmaceutical budget for this... year.

We really can't go into discussing international politics. It inevitably goes south sooner or later, with people's feelings and the fragile tissue tieing together this community getting hurt.

Oh, in the hard drive crash I lost your latest email address, so I have no way of getting in touch with you. Which is pretty much par for the course. Mine's still the same... A comment would be emailed to you, but I can't post one, which is too damn bad, because you probably won't see this. Wonderful! And by the time I get to a computer where I can post comments (it only seems to have a problem at work) you'll have buggered off again and I won't hear from you for another six months.
