oh, i forgot to say-- I found cadbury's mini-creme eggs in the wegman's in Henrietta!!!

i dunno why.
well. got a couple of IMs from the panda before he left, and called him this morning (knowing he was on a plane and would have his cellphone off-- i just wanted to acknowledge his IMs), and he called back, and that made me cheerful, because he was happy because he's travelling and doing fun things, and because talking to him generally makes me cheerful (i should be less giddy, as a person, but then again why?)
and it's warmer outside than in. yay!

i'm generally feeling cheerful about everything... about my future, about my projects, about my work.
i'm nearly done with school now!

i just feel optimistic. i'm sure i can find a reasonable job next year, in NYC if not in Troy (i'm starting to think that it might just be cooler to live in the city... originally i wanted troy, but i'm not even finding a hint of a job there, and after my initial trepidation, nyc is looking cooler and cooler), and a cool apartment and a fun life will surely follow. Right? maybe.
i'm sure i could be happy nearly anywhere... but the more psyched i am, the better it might seem.
i haven't been posting as much lately, have i? wow...

i seem to have finally defeated teamfreeze.com.
they "took me off their mailing list" (which theoretically i opted into, and theoretically i could've done by clicking on the link at the bottom of their email, but... no dice on either one, and i know it. and they know it. bastards.) because i not only did a traceroute but looked them up on whois, and found out that they were hosted by rackspace.com, (after having sent 15 or 20 or so emails to abuse@teamfreeze.com) and started forwarding every single fucking spam I got from them to both abuse@teamfreeze.com AND abuse@rackspace.com. Finally rackspace.com yelled at teamfreeze.com, and they took me off their list.
"Thank you for subscribing with us we are sorry to see you go!" sheesh. I was never a subscriber and they bloody well know it. Fuck off and die, all of you. I'm starting to become a rabid anti-spam freak. I might start crusades like this against more spammers...
How annoying, all of it. (including my newfound obsession.)
But now they're gone. GONE! HA HA HA HA HA.

I'm having trouble psyching myself up to go to the fencing tournament at SUNY binghamton tomorrow. I'll be riding alone... and then from there, i'll be going home to my parents' house...
so i dunno.
I don't have to be there until 12, which means I could not leave here until like 8 or 9, which is just about doable... gee..
i also have to pack to go home.
and i also also meant to have finished the part of my thesis that's about my father. Oops. Hmm...
well. anyhow.
i'll work on it at home.
and then, drive back with liesl-- hurrah for some company, at last!
