I stayed home today, cleaned a lot, sewed a little, cooked a little, and had a short but really nice nap with a purring cat on my face, which ended the migraine.
I was thinking how much better I felt, how much less foggy. Then this evening I was distracted for a second by a task, absentmindedly thought about work tomorrow, then paused a moment as I tried to remember what I'd done at work today. It took me an embarrassingly long time to remember that I'd called in, to remember what I'd done.
So, I don't think I really *am* better, I just *feel* better. Which is about half the battle, I suppose.
Then at precisely 11:32, as I sat on the couch trying to finish this tiny project before bed, my throat suddenly began hurting. Yes, I have what's going around work, just in time to skate in a bout on Saturday. I'll be miserable by then.
It's instant karma for calling in sick when I wasn't actually at death's door.
(Left tonsil. It'll probably be a doozy.)
Awesome.
On the upside today's one tiny project I might actually finish is a catnip mouse made of black felt with a reasonably anatomically-correct mouse skeleton painted on it in silkscreen ink. I will take pictures when it's done.
