dream log?

I had a really vivid dream this morning. I wasn't in it. It had a cast of characters of nobody I knew, although that wasn't a plot feature-- I simply wasn't in it. Nowhere I'd been either.
Two Mexican (?) fashion designers-- Hispanic, anyway-- Xavier and Henrique (I don't know why I knew there was an H in his name, as it wasn't pronounced)-- are in some terrible calamity, like a plane crash or a busjacking or a boat wreck, I don't even know. Early on in the dream, before I was really tuned in, something happened to derail them from their job, which was to go be very gay fashion designers in a big metropolis of some sort-- I think they were a couple-- and they wound up in this big, rather nice, rather rural house full of... young mothers? It was like some sort of family gathering except that everybody who was actually around was a woman, and most of them had babies. Maybe it was a retreat or something but who would bring their baby to a retreat? I don't know.
Anyway, they weren't really the point of the dream. Something happened, maybe the initial calamity, and Xavier died in it. So Henrique was left, and every other character was a woman. I woke at this point, and fell back asleep, and had several short interludes of him having somewhat surreal conversations with various of the women, who were all unfailingly polite but I think they were rural farm-wife types; not unfashionable, exactly, but really really really far from the world of metro fashion. Xavier had been very very urban like the fashion designers on TV shows who are kind of horrified at the very concept that people live in places that aren't cities. Henrique came from the same sort of place, but was a pragmatic sort, and had less trouble with the concept.
Except at one point when I fell back asleep he was tasked with driving a Jeep with a trailer through an absolutely ridiculous off-road path. At one point it was like three feet wide with a cliff on one side. He kept stopping and saying "what am I supposed to do NOW?" and at one point the woman (Tasha? It started with a T; she wasn't a mom. She was young...ish? Ageless but not old. I think it was her house. She was kind of the boss) says, "Well you idiot, it has a trailer. Push it by the trailer." So they're manhandling this Jeep, the weight of the trailer being the only thing keeping it from falling into the abyss, through this absolutely ridiculous trail, like over logs and things. There were four or five people, so it wasn't exactly impossible. It was one of the old kind of Jeeps from back before they were "sport" whatevers, so it was pretty small.
Then I woke and fell asleep again and Henrique was in bed with T. In his sleep he starts making love to her; it was his POV so I don't know if she started it or was awake or not. He wakes up and realizes it's her and she's really into it so he keeps going. When they're done she asks if he had known it was her when he started. He admits that no, but he's not at all sorry it was. He also says something very romantic (and personally complimentary to her) in Spanish, and then says, "There are words for that in English but I don't know them." (Since he's the POV character I knew at the time what he had said but I don't remember now. At the time it didn't seem cheesy.) She seems a little uncomfortable with what they've just done, and says something about how she'd thought he was gay. At that point I was waking up so my standard explanations of bisexuality and not liking to use that word because to most people it just means 'slut' were coming out, so I was explaining for Henrique. And then I was awake, so I don't know where it was going to go from there.
Sex tends to derail me though so it probably would've just been more of that. Still, I wouldn't've minded staying in bed for that.

Sigh. Off to work. We're getting the a/c replaced, finally, after a long sweltering summer without it. I should mention it's abruptly autumn here, hoodie and jeans weather-- beautiful, but the kind of day where you prop the doors open, maybe use a fan to help the breeze circulate, and admire the weather. Not the kind of weather where you use your HVAC units at all. Which the HVAC guys find funny too.
It's a little stressful though because they keep having to unplug the photo machines. And the machines had to be shifted for access to the electric panels, and now my workspace is 18" wide and contains things like haphazardly piled drill bits and a Sawzall with an exposed blade I ran my shin into twice since it was sticking out into a narrow walkway. Eh. I'll probably live. And apparently we'll also have a better, more efficient, actually working furnace, so...
