More caraco. I have all of it cut out, except the fashion fabric sleeves I just realized. Oh well. Put the lining together to check for fit, adjusted small amounts. Then decided I needed an interlining, since I'm wearing it over a corset which may not fit properly really. So I cut out a layer, just for the front, of canvas, and stitched that to the linen lining. I also put cording into the seams at center front and sides. I don't think I'll interline the back, or cord the center back seams. We'll see. I'm realizing that the original was made of wool-lined silk brocade, and I'm making linen with linen, and that's not going to look remotely similar. W-evs, I just want it not to crumple offensively whilst on my body, and also I want to fasten it with hooks and eyes and not have it collapse into wrinkles at the tension points of the fasteners.
So the lining is, uh, partly assembled. Yes I know I'm behind schedule. I mean, this schedule is behind schedule; I was to have finished this by February. Yes, ha, I know. Anyway. Wanted to have both lining and fashion layer assembled so that I could sew them together in the car tomorrow, as I have an hour+ ride to Rochester, each way. I may not make it to that point but I'm going to try my damnedest.
Yeah, that's about it that's going on in my life.
