weekend plans
May. 29th, 2010 09:10 amI'm diving headfirst much, much deeper into being ridiculously busy, but it's busy with personal and fun things, not work and roller derby. Well, there are still those, but the derby season ends today (for me) with an away game in Ontario-- deep in the heart of Ontario, about halfway to Detroit, as it happens-- and while work is going to be ridiculous for a little while, I'm not super fussed because we finally, for the first time in about a year, have adequate, competent staff. If I ask for a day off, I can actually get it. It's really an amazing feeling, and one I don't want to end.
So I'm going away this weekend. My weekend plans involve two nights in Canada-- in different beds-- my Pennsic tent and camping gear, a chicken suit (not for me!), stars-and-stripes glitter booty shorts that I borrowed from an Alley Kat (reigning regional champions in outer-underwear, as a team), a slumber party, and a whole lotta booze from the duty-free. That's the plan.
So I'd better go pack. I've got to find my red-and-yellow striped kneesocks for the chicken suit, since the provided rental tights really don't fit at all.
I promise there will be pictures. In the meantime, to tide you over, here are the pictures from the Lake Effect Furies (Buffalo) vs. the Blitzburgh Bombers (Pittsburgh), from last weekend, taken on the work D5000 with the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC lens.
