dragonlady7Looking through some photos posted on Facebook of last night's roller derby bouts. The comment threads are really hilarious. Especially of some of the more awkward action shots, especially ones where someone is shouting, or grabbing someone's shirt, or falling, or hitting someone. Everyone tags everyone, so everyone in the picture knows they're there and gets a notification when there's a comment (if they have FB set up that way, which most do). Sometimes someone will post, "What the heck is going on?" and often one of the people involved will reply with an explanation, often fanciful. Other times someone will just post a hilarious caption, a song quote, or similar.
I can't link directly, I don't think, because of FB's privacy-lock settings-- I don't think the photo albums are visible to everyone. But some of these little moments, milliseconds frozen in time, are absolutely hilarious taken out of context.
There's a blog dedicated to the captioning, LOLcat style, of roller derby photos, but it just isn't as funny as the often-wordy dialogues that come up in these comment threads.
