omg days off
Oct. 27th, 2009 11:49 pmI have TWO DAYS OFF IN A ROW.
I am unreasonably excited about this.
Also, tonight at practice, we had an actual scrimmage. Now, it was modified, in that we were working on specific things, and there was no score kept, and minimal penalties called, and there was only one jammer at once, so we were working on alternating defense and offense. But still. Playing roller derby is so much fucking fun whether or no, and I had a great time.
So I am in an incredibly good mood. On top of that, Z has been doing dishes daily, to the point that there's been almost no pile up of dirty ones; the kitchen is and has been virtually immaculate. On a sort of whim I decided to have some people over tomorrow, and it's going to take me maybe half an hour to clean up the house sufficiently. It is like living like an adult. I cannot even express how awesome this is. I have been trying to hold up my end, but the thing is, I'm just not home all that much. Still, though. I have plans and plans and plans for tomorrow, and it is a wonderful feeling to be thinking of how on earth I can make sure that I'm holding up my end of the housework. Really!! It's been months now that he's been doing this, and I can't even express how awesome it is. I know I've been really down lately but it would have been way worse if I were living in squalor, which I'm very much not. Who knew: after more than seven years, well, I can't think of a way to end that sentence without sounding sappy.
We won't think about the state of the lawn. We seldom do, so it's just as well.
If only Chita were well-behaved. I suppose at least she's cute.
So I'm not worrying about money, not worrying about anything right now, I'm just going to enjoy finally feeling really good for once. And I've only had one beer! I know, amazing. Just the thought-- two days off, in a row. Oh my. So wonderful. I'm going to cook, I'm going to write, I'm going to clean, I'm going to garden, I'm going to run errands and make things happen, and most of all, I'm going to sleep.
Starting now.
Ish.
