furniture movin
Oct. 7th, 2009 11:29 amPlus: Back is healed enough that I can move furniture.
Minus: Back is healed enough that I have to move furniture.
The Lair is coming along. Sadly, the first thing I went to move, it turns out, was nailed to the wall. !!! I hadn't thought anything was that well-constructed down there. Regrouping. Meanwhile, while Z was available, I moved the dresser and desk. Now I must put the drawers back in them and set things up onto them so that I can clean off the other furniture that needs moving, which has stuff all over it. (A table and some shelves.)
I also have to redraw the painstaking and obsessive diagram I did of the furniture. Since those shelves under the stairs are nailed to the wall, I suppose I'll leave them there-- I don't fancy prying them apart. And I wasn't real committed to the idea of them being in the other corner, I just had decided that was the best use of the space. (I'd rather put Rubbermaid tubs under the stairs, but, well, if those shelves don't move, I guess I'll just have to rethink it. Maybe I'll use them for the remodel of the *other* half of the basement, which is the canning/brewing kitchen and laundry room. Yes, I have a ridiculously awesome basement in the works, why do you ask?)
Oh well. Progress, at least, on a gray and depressing and anxiety-makingly-blustery day. (Does strong gusty wind worry anyone else? It always makes me jittery. I couldn't sleep once it started last night, and had weird disjointed dreams.)
