YAY NEW SEWING MACHINE
Sep. 19th, 2009 09:56 pmI went back to the Viking/Singer dealership, which is its own little company inside of the mega-JoAnns on Transit Blvd right near work, and talked to the same lady I spoke to before. She recognized me, and listened carefully to my blathering about how I didn't know how to choose a machine. I spent like 45 minutes talking to her and she was so good, she sold me a machine after all. She did the Well, I never do this, but-- discount, and I waltzed out of the store juuust within my budget, with a shiny shiny Singer Confidence 7469Q-- woo hoo, significantly cheaper than it is on Amazon OR eBay, huzzah! (I was afraid to check, but, you know, had to.)
I have sewn a few scraps to other scraps, but had to come sit down and email the sisters who are paying for (about half of) it to let them know. And then you know, the Internet. Squee, Internet! I have a new shiny thing! I have to sit and think a moment before I go start sewing things to other things. But things! To other things! In 99 different stitch modes! With buttonholes! And blind hems! And things! Oh, things and things and things!
I am incoherent. I go now. Someone is setting off fireworks, I don't know why, but it suits my mood. Bang! Pow! Whee!
