Going to Canada again! That's four times this month. I don't want to wait until passports are mandatory because mine is Somewhere In The House and I just don't want to make plans until I have it safely in my hot little hand. So this week is the last chance.
Fi and I are going to Ikea. We just want to. We may buy a chair or some shelves or something. But we're deffo going to buy picture frames and maybe a paper towel holder of some kind. Those are important.
I just want to go there. I think it will help me feel better about my life.

Date: 2009-05-28 12:04 am (UTC)This is why I'm desperately clinging to the hope that the damn thing must be in my house somewhere. I do *not* want to have to find out what it's like to try and replace it. Lord almighty.
Z got his when the wait was "so bad", and they turned his around in no time at all, much to our delight.
Humorously enough, the US border guard handed us back our IDs and documents wrapped in a pamphlet about the upcoming change in requirements... and said pamphlet was entirely in French. The US borderguard. With whom we had been speaking entirely in English and had discussed that we were lifelong NY State residents. So I thought that sort of odd.
