Oct. 7th, 2008 10:46 pmTo be totally off-topic, I have posted a video my sister sent of my nephew walking. He is ten months old now. He has been scheduled to have his open-heart surgery on the 14th of this month, so it's coming up. They swear up and down that it will be an easy surgery and he'll recover quickly.
Anyhow, I present to you, David, in my inaugural attempt to use Flickr to upload videos. We shall see.
I captioned it there with the email she sent, explaining the walking and his relative goodness at it. Just to note: she begins every email she's ever cc'd to the family with "Hello, all", so consistently that when I was going back to collect all the photos she's individually emailed, I didn't search for her email address (which changed, at one point), I searched for "Hello, all" in quotes.
Anyhow. That's my nephew. Cutest goddamn kid ever. Hair's getting a little long. Looks like his mother in her baby photos. Also you can hear my sister's awesome accent. It's contagious, so be careful.
I have cute photos of kitties to upload, too, when I find my camera cable, so you just look out, world!

Date: 2008-10-08 05:30 pm (UTC)Katy just finished childproofing everything under three feet tall in the house.
(I think she walked early too. Our house had no floors suitable for her to crawl on, so she was put into a walker as soon as she could hold her head up, and Mom and Dad raced to get the floors done so she could learn to crawl. The first thing she did on the new floor was pull herself up and walk unassisted, somewhat to their frustration.)
