I'm up late, writing-- mostly procrastinating, but at least I'm sitting and doing it, and I've finally gone through all my notes so I'm not writing blind as I have been for so long.

But Chita decided to be helpful. She's been very clingy this week. She hadn't sat on my lap in weeks, months even. Tonight she was happily ensconced on Z's lap when he went to bed. I had been sitting in bed writing, but wasn't ready to sleep, so I relocated to the living room. Chita came to find me within the first fifteen minutes, and has been lying half-on me with her paws in the air for about an hour and a half now.

She has not limped at all since the time she did when I noticed what was wrong. She sneezes a couple of times a day, but much less than she was. And she's very clingy and sits on us much more than she had been doing, but I've realized, um, the temperature has also fallen, and now she's acting more like she did in winter. So I'm still going to take her to the vet soonish, but I don't think there's anything actually wrong with her anymore. I just think she'll need deworming and a flea bath at some point, since she's been going outside and eating small animals. (At least she hasn't discovered rabbits-- those little bastards are full of awful parasites.)
