Filing an extension was too complicated for me, so I just did my taxes. I tried to explain that to Z but he didn't believe me. "I've done it before, it's super easy," he said, of filing his extension.
"It's different this year," I said. "I can't figure it out. You can't just... do it."
He didn't believe me.
But seriously: it was easier to just file my damn taxes. Even with the weird calculations and shit I had to do since the thing I invested when my brother-in-law worked for A.G. Edwards paid me like fifty cents in dividends which was like five more pages of paperwork.
I actually put it in the paper mail this morning.
With a seventy-five cent stamp on it because I have no fucking clue what the hell a normal stamp costs anymore. They keep changing it. I got 75 cent stamps to send postcards to Europe and that was correct for, like.... a week. Now it's no longer right for anything, and you can't really go putting eight stamps on a damn postcard.

Whatever. Seventy-five cents to mail a letter. At least it won't come back for insufficient postage, right?

I saw a post in longhair the other day with "central Asian braids" for belly dancing-- it was really neat. So I did my hair in braids today. Took me probably twenty minutes. All my hair goes into eight fairly tiny braids. I decided instead of using gel I'd use grapeseed oil to keep the braids from frizzing. Worked a treat, but I don't know what they'll be like when I comb them out. Greasy and frizzy, probably. Whatever, I own a bottle of shampoo.
This means my hair is fun and manageable and all that. It also means that my head is, in effect, covered in strings.
Chita hates strings.
