good nephew news

So my sister's baby went to the cardiologist and the hole in the septum of his ventricle is smaller than it was and his heart is functioning more normally. Still not all the way there, and he still might need surgery, but since it's improving and he's obviously thriving (gained a pound this month), they're hopeful he can avoid open-heart surgery.

So, I mean, it's a nice thing, is all. Let's hope it continues. There was more technical stuff about pressure differentials and things but I had such a stupid day today I really can't concentrate long enough to figure it out. All's I know is, Good.

His mother is so old-fashioned she sends photos individually as attachments to everyone she knows.
I will have to search through my inbox and post some good ones myself.
