dragonlady7I'm sleepy but my eyes keep sliding open, so I guess it's time to get up. I had been thinking that since it was 6:xx that it was super early, but really, I'm only about 15minutes early. Oh well.
I dreamed that I was in the Army, sort of at loose ends, wandering around. I went into a mission/homeless shelter kinda thing, to buy some food at the kinda charity cafeteria, the idea being that if you had money you bought food there, and if you didn't they paid for it. etc.
Shooting the shit with the cafeteria employees, nice people.
Something about how the Army was having layoffs, and had started a war to get rid of their excess recruits.
Something about selling my war trophies and spending the proceeds at the dentist.
Previously, and this is blurry, I think I'd dreamed that there was another roller derby bout, the KOs vs Dollies again, and it was the afterparty, in some strange industrial kitchen setting, possibly the same setting that got reused in the second dream for the cafeteria. Lots of strangers as support staff, high-school-age kids. One of my old coworkers from the airport bar was there, he was on the Dollies, though somehow I hadn't known that and it had been so long since I'd seen him that I couldn't immediately remember his name to say it. (Which isn't the case in real life... Also yes, he was male, so how on earth he was on a roller derby team I don't know. That wasn't addressed within the scope of the dream.)
The thing that was bothering me, somewhat vaguely, through the whole dream, was that despite having apparently played in the bout, I had no idea who had won, and kept asking people, and they thought I was messing with them so they wouldn't tell me. I think the Dollies had won, but don't remember.
Ironically enough I don't think anyone from roller derby was actually in that dream. Mia's name was, but I didn't see her, I just knew she was there.
