happy birthday david adam!
Nov. 25th, 2007 08:37 amI'm an aunt now! My sister Katy had a son at 8:30 last night, a 9-pound, 20" boy that they named David Adam. I don't know who David is (we joked that it was for my boyfriend, as David is Z's actual real-life name) but Adam is his father's name.
So, the wait is over. Mom and Dad came out Wednesday, hung out until Friday, and went home then; Ann stayed until Saturday morning but left early, and then Fiona is still here-- her boyfriend snagged a ride up with a friend who lives in Cheektowaga, and we picked him up, so now we're back up to 4 in the house and Chita is happy because say what you will about Corey (who Mom Disapproves Of), he's very very good with animals.
Although Chita has spent this morning rocketing around the house and has barfed next to my bed and broken a wine glass almost on me and scratched my hand playing enthusiastically...
Anyway. I'm psyched to be an aunt. Mom and Dad will drive down once Katy calls them to update them on her condition today-- to my knowledge there were no complications, but you know, we'll see after a night's theoretical sleep.
Mom and Dad are aiming to get there once Katy's home from the hospital.
Ann is back in Chicago by now, and Fiona and I have made a bunch of curtains and are working on more.
I have not updated in so long that it feels odd to type on this keyboard. Hm. It's been a busy long-long weekend.
