I'm sore and stupid today. Seriously—this morning I woke up and my knees were sore (no exercise yesterday…) and after I did a load of laundry and took off my bathrobe to get dressed, I got some kind of charley-horse like thing in my shoulder, which was inexplicable and agonizing. I don't know what it was, but my whole body just felt so heavy… Maybe I didn't properly warm up upon waking?
So I'm wearing knee braces today. It took me almost five full minutes to get my shoes on, as well; for some reason I just wasn't feeling coordinated.
I hope to skate myself to exhaustion tonight, so I hope the heaviness doesn’t persist. I feel fine at the moment, but then, I'm not trying to do anything right now.

I was letting Chita play with my hands last night. She was playing a little rough, but I didn't think much of it until afterward, I went to wash my hands and realized she'd scratched the hell out of them. Now I have angry red welts all up my arms and look like an abuse victim. She never scratched before! She'd slip up a little, but… I am so dumb, I'm teaching her bad habits. I don't know how I didn't realize she was breaking the skin. She wasn't, much, but they're angry and red today despite my putting disinfectant on them. (YOW I don't want to do that again.)
Argh. I had been so pleased with her for not scratching.

She's almost starting to respond to catnip, though. She's been disinterested, thusfar, but now is starting to pay catnip-coated mice a little more attention than non-coated ones. It's not modifying her behavior much though. If it mellows her out, then man oh man, I will get that damn cat stoned all the time…

Gruh, my eyes hurt. Sux.
I have nothing interesting to say. This is terrible. I started off with something interesting to say, and now don't remember what it was. I hope you all appreciate that in my head, I have the most marvelously interesting things to write here, but they evaporate when I actually open the window. I really am deeply fascinating. Honest.

It's possible that Chita's scratches are responsible for ALL of your complaints today. Sore joints, cramping muscles, and general malaise can all be attributed to systemic infection, and your hands and arms are most certainly infected.

Might try the anti-oxydants - Vit. A, C, and E; or any one of them. *Lots.* A is also an infection-fighter, and C is for stress.

Re: scratches. Yep, you're a cat owner now. My arms have had little scars on them in various places since 1996. And it's been my experience that cats don't get that interested in catnip when they're younger. And they all react differently. Zuzu would nibble hers daintily, like a little old lady drinking whiskey from a teacup, and then she'd eventually fall over stoned. Max would dive head-first into the pile and then attack anyone who came near him. Wash isn't too interested. But he also thinks he's a dog.
