In my paycheck this week I had a $0.50/hr raise and was paid for the sick day I took off. Which is odd. I have a feeling my office manager has gone to bat for me. Which is unreasonably sweet of her.
Do you remember how earlier this week I was all, man, I just dick around at work? Yeah, I've been nonstop busy since then, so, I take it all back.
I have become The One Who Answers The Hard Questions. That's now my job. Why? Because I am, not to put too fine a point on it, facile with the bullshit. Yes. I can spin an excellent line about nothing for a long time, and make it very convincing.
No, that's crude; it's not true. I simply know the product line and have come up with good-sounding phrases to explain it succinctly. Also I can talk really fast.
