mischief managed
Sep. 2nd, 2007 08:10 pmMade it both ways across the border and didn't get strip-searched at all.
Ikea was sold out of like everything, but we did get the shelving unit we wanted, plus two chairs, and other things, in an extravaganzical orgy of buyingstuffage.
Also we got two way cute lamps. Our house is awesome.
Am so tired and sleepy. Haven't unloaded van yet. Need to have it back to the place by 7 am tomorrow.
Ikea didn't have a mattress. Basically they had no mattresses left at all.
We're going to buy local, which is better anyway. Lockport Mattress has a delivery service. Come to think of it, would not want to be having to get a monolith like that through the door ourselves.
In Ikea's bedroom section, they had one king-size bed set up. Z and I lay down on it. I extended my arm and could not reach him. He could not reach me. It was the size of my bedroom. Best thing ever. We totally need a king-size mattress. Queen-size is almost indistinguishable from double.
Want.
Oh well. At least I have my shelves.

Date: 2007-09-03 01:28 am (UTC)We've actually had really good luck at Rainbow the last three or four times we've come back from Canada. And as a bonus, you get a great view of the Falls. The downside is driving among tourists, who drive like idiots. Whatever. Rainbow hasn't let us down lately.
On the way in we took Lewiston-Queenston and there was a bit of a wait, probably ten minutes-- not bad at all.
