dragonlady7The QCRG End of Season Awards Ceremony is tonight, and I'm looking forward to it. Except that the dress code is Creative Black Tie, and Z doesn't have a tuxedo jacket, and I'm not sure what the heck I'm going to wear...
It will involve lacy shorts, but probably very far underneath the skirt and hopefully they will not be pulled out to be shown off. ;)
Did I mention there's an open bar?
I'm up for "Most Improved", which Z thinks is a backhanded compliment but I actually am really psyched about. We've all improved immensely this season, of course, and it would be really something to be the one who has improved most noticeably.
Boot Camp is in August, for anyone who wants to try out for next season. I want to help out with Boot Camp, because I think the attention I got when I was a beginner was so important to me, but I just don't think I'll have it in me, so I haven't committed to anything. I also have plans for two of the weekends that month... (It's every weekend in August.)
Uggghhh I have bad cramps and don't really want to deal with anything. I've been busy at work today, though. Today and yesterday both. Which is, I suppose, good; it's about time I was worth something around here. I was totally astonished to realize,however, that my job is almost identical to that of my younger sister, who spends her day on the phone making sales from the manufacturer, for whom she works, to dealers around the country... shit, man, that's what I do too!
I do still dislike being on the phone all day. I had a coughing fit yesterday and the water faucet is away down the hall. I was on the phone with someone at the time, which was embarrassing, and then the phone rang immediately once I'd put it down and started to stand up to get a drink of water, and it was another call I had to take, so I shoved a cough drop in my dry mouth, only to have the caller ask if I was eating lunch. Whereupon I had another coughing fit.
I am so done with being sick. Unfortunately, sick is not done with me. Blegh. I don't feel sick at all, but two nights in a row now I've taken unreasonably long naps in the day or eveningtime (Sunday I basically slept all day. I think I took three naps of multiple hours each) and then have gone to sleep soundly at my normal bedtime hour.
Z had the same thing last week, though, so maybe it is just sort of an invisible virus rather than us both being incurable sluggards? I don't now.
Anyway. I am feeling smug because I found an imperceptible way to have my hair in rag curlers, so it looks like a cute daytime updo. We'll see if it looks OK when I take it down tonight, though.

Having viewed all the photos, I actually think I kind of look pretty good in that uniform.
Obviously covering my ass in lace is key.
None of those photos include my ass; I have to find whoever took the photos that did. I think I know who it was, but I don't think I have her email address.
