OK this is driving me CRAZY

WTF is up with this Livejournal/Photobucket shit?
I cannot see any photos anyone posts with Photobucket.
I can't even see dead links.
All that happens is that where, in the post, there should be an image, there's just a blank space.

Some relatively officialish LJ person somewhere said something about Photobucket but damned if I can remember what it was now.
Don't tell me I am going to have to get a Photobucket account just to read my friendspage.
I've been pretty conscientious about refusing to sign up for services that make you be a member to view the result. I don't want to post shit people can't see. But if most of my f-list is now posting shit I can't see...

what the hell am I supposed to do?

Is anyone else in the world having this problem?

It is pissing me the hell off.




Also I am too sore to stand up and do anything, but am so very, very hungry. I might starve to death because I can't make mac and cheese from the box because I'm too tired and sore. This is pretty pathetic. But I'm dying, over here...

But I can't see any of the recent photos on longhair, can't see thatredhead's pictures of her rabbit, can't see katiemacalister's Dishy Guy Monday post--- every time I load my lj friendspage there are photos I can't see, that apparently everyone else can judging from the comments on the posts...

I had thought it was Photobucket, but if I can see yours, then it can't be...
Hmm. Now I really don't know what the problem is.

Hey! I noticed that yesterday and thought people were just losing their photobucket accounts. But that would be a pretty big coincidence. So no, it's not just you, and I will not get a photobucket account just to see photos. Wah.

It just sits there and is continually loading for, I dunno, days.

Which means my friendspage is constantly displaying a status of "loading" whenever I look at it, which also means I can't over over links to figure out where they go, because it still says the page is loading in that little spot in Firefox...

I can't figure out what the difference is. If it's not Photobucket, what the hell is it?

Hmmm. I don't subscribe to Photobucket and I can see people's pics? Are you sure it is an lj thing and not a PC vs. Mac thing? (Hey, I'm as dumb as they come when it involves this stuff so I have no basis for that speculation, except that I can see the pictures and do not subscribe. I use a PC.)

I have the same problem, on my home computer. But hmm, I have only checked my personal Mac laptop--I could try my work-assigned Windows laptop to get a new datapoint.
