dragonlady7I took a sick day today. I woke up at 4:30, and at 5:30 gave up and got up. I did laundry, up and down the stairs to the basement. By the fourth trip, at 6:30, my knees hurt. So I said, No way am I going to work, and called in.
No sciatic nerve pain, though, not even carrying the laundry basket that little ways, so, so far so good.
Lay in bed, lazed about. Knee pain dissipated. Back muscles stiff, but not really sore. Went out and bought a new cellphone. Have the same cellphone number, hurrah!
No knee pain.
Obviously, rest is the cure.
Plans for the afternoon include going to the Nietzche's megasession and sitting down, which means we have to leave soon so I can get there early and score a good seat. That is my plan.
My new phone has a camera in it, and also can record voice memos. Hopefully this means I will have more amusing content to blog with. Because what this Livejournal needs is to be multimedia enabled, right? Oh yeah.
I had planned to both find a doctor and get a cellphone, but the second was more or less necessary for the first, as it's much easier to make a bunch of calls when you have a phone that works.
I will find a doctor, though. I know I'm only fine because I'm not doing any walking or bending. But I'm really really really glad not to be doing any walking or bending. Let me just enjoy that, for the moment. Ahhh.
Oh, I found out that with Cingular's rollover minutes, I have now accrued 4,100 minutes. After 12 months, rollover minutes expire: this month, 430 minutes expired.
My plan only has 400 minutes a month, split between both of us.
Yeah, we don't talk much. We should probably call more people.
