dragonlady7leaving for work in >10 min, so, just posting quick.
Spent like 6 hours yesterday emailing about roller derby stuff. I seem to have volunteered myself to do a lot of things. Actually doing things is very unlike me, and I hope I haven't gotten in over my head, but each thing seemed like the least I could do, seeing how overwhelmingly busy all the leadership-type-sorts are.
Also updated Myspace again-- I should just put in a link in my header to my blog there. This entry is about the events of yesterday.
Guh. I am full of crud today. At least i doubt I'll get any shit for calling in sick-- I'm still quite evidently ill. Although the crud is more mobile now that I've been awake a few hours. More than a few-- I got up at 7, mind-blowingly early for my current lifestyle, in order to return the loaner and get the Prius back. It had $1100 worth of work done to it, which is, well, you know. Cars are expensive. Whatever. There was more, but half the work was under warranty, so we were spared the additional $1k or whatever that cost.
Damn thing's not even paid off yet-- still pay more a month in car payments than rent.
Whatever. Grumble.
Snowy today. I drove Z to work because he'd done so much work for me and the rollergirls yesterday I couldn't face making him sprint to the bus with his hair wet. But the driving was awful-- almost whiteout snow in some places. Still, i made it without trouble. Let's hope the drive to work is as easy.
Shit, I should go-- don't want to be late if the roads are bad. Well... Later!

Oh, I took in one of those handbills to work-- the bout handbills that were hanging around at the Brawl. Who drew those? One of my coworkers spent a good three minutes (an eternity, in the waitressing world) admiring the drawing and asking about it, and another (male) coworker slyly took the handbill to bring home and study it. Which made me laugh.
The lettering on it is particularly gorgeous.
