consumerism!
Jan. 6th, 2007 06:26 pmI have had a day of frenetically useful consumption. I have bought things. This is great.
Items purchased:
But the crowning glory of all of it is that I found myself:
A pale red satin prom dress with a puffy-sleeved jacket and a weird wrap-around uneven hemline at Amvets for $14.98!
V. V. exciting.
It's far too small in the boobs, and in fact does not come close to covering my breasts in any kind of family-friendly fashion. But the matching jacket does, so, there I go! Just have to not take off the jacket.
So I can go to the dance and not be a lame non-participator. Hurrah for me!
Now I am exhausted and I think I need a brief nap before dinner, which is sauerbraten, which Z is making, and I am so psyched for dinner, but I can't stay awake.
Items purchased:
- a pale beige polyester suit for Z: $20 at Amvets
- a pink jersey-knit miniskirt to skate in, $1.99 at Amvets
- 3 new miniskirts of varying forms, $3 each at Steve & Barry's
- below-knee-length spandex leggings, $0.09 at Old Navy after I discovered an old gift card in my wallet
