Sep. 14th, 2006 11:14 pmThanks,
jennnlee, that song's stuck in my head now.
I called Apple to straighten out whether I'm upgrading to the 80GB iPod or not today. The email they sent me gave me an option to automatically do so. I did. It didn't seem to take. So I called them. No, the woman on the phone said, it did work, it's fine. OK.
Get home, I have an email from them: "Since you'd lose the discount if you switch to the 80 GB, we've decided to keep your order as you placed it."
Well then why the fuck did you email me and make me call you in the first place, if you were only going to make up my mind for me?
Jesus fuck, you smug plastic bastards!!
I'm hard-coding some freaking line breaks into this entry so bear with me. My new style no longer puts in extra carriage returns between paragraphs, and it pisses me off; it's a stylistic quirk I wasn't aware of in myself, but I need the space when I'm changing subjects. I might start typing asterisks.

Today at work was hard, cruel hard. SCW had bad bad cramps, like broken-out-in-cold-sweat, hanging-off-the-register-whimpering bad-- and this woman is not a wuss. Fortunately I had Canadian aspirin-with-codeine in my Pill Box O Goodies in my bank, so I sort of saved the day. A little.
My sales topped $1k, combined, which is busy for me. And they did so in under six hours, so... Yeh. Rough day. And people were rude, too. Rude and cheap. We had some great moments at work, oh yes.
Everyone else went out tonight. I am weary, and when I got home, Z had made casserole and done dishes, and after dinner he went straight to bed. He had a rough day too.
So I am not going out tonight. I am going to bed.
Except (this is awful) I'm hungry again. I ate dinner two hours ago and I'm suddenly hungry again. Argh!
