Aug. 23rd, 2006 08:09 amMy beloved 30-Gb iPod, bought for me by Z in Westchester as the sweetest gift ever, is dead. I brought it in to see the Genius, who hit on me and was sad that he couldn't fix it. I am sorely tempted to buy another. For myself. For my birthday.
I am also sorely tempted to buy myself a laptop, as my iBook won't even boot and Z's old Powerbook has a battery life of like five minutes and also has no Internet.
And yet, there is this teal-green standard-transmission Ford Ranger pickup down the street at Brown's body shop, for sale, for $800. It has damage to the fiberglass body, has the windshield frame Bondo'd to the roof which is inexplicably damaged, and has little spots of rust and several minor windshield cracks, and also, it's teal green. It's a 92.
I am obscenely tempted to simply walk in and pay cash for it.
What should I actually get myself for my birthday?
And oh, we're going to Toronto this weekend-- Friday and Sat. night. What should we not miss in Toronto?
