perfect timing
Jun. 1st, 2006 10:27 amUnusually, I've just demonstrated some rather perfect timing in my gardening. I just went out and planted some peas and lettuce in gaps in the garden, as my first crop of neither did very well, and as I was finishing, it started pouring. So, hopefully those'll all be well watered-in.
Something ate all the leaves of my beans as they came up, which is really irritating. I like beans but don't think I'll be getting any at all this year, and am quite put out.
Of all the seeds I bought, there are a bunch I've never even planted, and a bunch more that I planted and none at all came up, so I feel a bit of a failure. Mom reminded me kindly that I'd had very good success for my first try.
I sort of want to plant marijuana in my garden. I'd ask someone to talk me out of it, but I rather think my common sense already did. However. I think it would be funny.
The compost heap has compacted a bit in all this rain, and I turned it over today. Maybe it will create dirt for me-- I don't really know how to collect the dirt, though.
Sabres game tonight, and I'll be at work. I am most thoroughly not looking forward to any of that. The tables will fill up with people not eating and not drinking, and like last Friday, the managers will want me to stay late, to wash dishes for the bartender pretty much, and I have the car today so if it takes me extra time to get out, I'll be all right. But I'm not going to stay late just to make Management happy. I'll only stay late if I have customers.

how's that for logic?
Date: 2006-06-02 12:58 pm (UTC)The Constitution says omission from the Constitution cannot deny people rights.
The Constitution cannot deny us the right to smoke grass.
The Controlled Substances Act denies us the right to smoke grass.
The Controlled Substances Act contradicts the Constitution.
Therefore, the Controlled Substances Act is unconstitutional.
