You know, I'm glad the Sabres won.
However.
1) It happened over two hours ago now. More like three.
2) They still haven't even won the fucking series.
Thus: You can stop fucking yelling and honking your horns now. A little was cool, at the time. Now? You're just being dumbasses. Shut the fuck up: it is midnight on a Tuesday.
Seriously. Shut. The fuck. Up. Jesus.
I could see it if they'd, say, won the Cup. I could maybe tolerate it if they'd even won the series. But no. Game seven is in two days in Carolina.
So I will say it once more: Shut up.
In happier news:
1) I have a dress for this wedding. Mom made the whole thing in about four hours. It's gorgeous.
2) I have plants to put in the garden in the front, which isn't finished, but that's ok at the moment. I can do more ambitious things later.
3) There is now an electrical outlet in my attic. Any improvements to be done in the attic can now be seriously contemplated. It's in need of more work-- it's certainly not up to code, and Dad was unhappy with parts of it, but it's functional and won't burn the house down, so: very cool.
OK, Buffalo, this is pathetic. It's like you don't believe that your team can actually come through and win the series, let alone the cup, so you're celebrating endlessly now that you've simply failed to be eliminated after totally blowing your lead, playing like idiots, and oh yes, away-game fans: totally wearing out your welcome by acting like assholes in Carolina. Way to fucking go! The more you honk now, the more pathetic you are.
If we win the Cup, I'll be the first to dance naked in the street with, you know, my hair on fire, or something. But this doesn't merit quite as much excitement as you're giving it, and you sound like tools, is all I'm saying. This much celebration over staving off elimination for another game?
Unless you're celebrating the Yankees' OT victory over Detroit. In which case, ok, that happened like an hour ago, so again, shut the fuck up.
Why yes, it is past my bedtime. Why do you ask?

Date: 2006-05-31 11:00 am (UTC)Heh. Reminds me of college. I went to Virginia Tech as they emerged from being an absolute suck of a football team to the team that wins its division year after year and goes to a bowl game every Christmas. Junior year they sucked hard. First game of my senior year, I was in the stands with my fraternity brothers (I was in a co-ed fraternity), watching in stunned disbelief as the Hokies started wiping the field with whomever it was they were playing. So we started the optimistic cheer of "We! Don't! Suck! That! Bad!"
